Achievement Academy, Inc.

  • Sobre Nós

Our mission, at its core, is based upon empowering children with special needs to achieve their own personal maximum potential in order to better prepare them for their education and their future. We began as a small organization started by a group of parents who recognized a void in therapy services for children in Polk County, FL, and United Cerebral Palsy was founded. Over the years, our name changed to the Child Development Center before becoming the Achievement Academy in 2004 to better reflect our purpose.

In simple terms, we exist to help children with special beginnings achieve brighter futures.

We do this through two distinct programs: the Birth to Three early intervention program, and our fully accredited ESE charter Pre-K. Between these two programs, the Achievement Academy serves more than 300 infants and children from birth through the age of 5 years old annually.

In Birth to Three, our highly skilled team provides in-home, early intervention services to infants and toddlers throughout Polk County. They work directly with the child and their caregiver to help children who are at-risk for developmental delays achieve appropriate milestones.

Our ESE Charter Pre-Kindergarten team are experts in providing a quality education, individual therapies, and family support to children ages 18 months through five years old who have one or more diagnosed challenges. We became a public charter school in 1997, making us one of the first charter schools in the state of Florida.

Both programs are provided at no cost to the families to ensure that finances aren't a barrier to a child receiving the services through which they will thrive.
