Humanity Hale

Humanity Hale is a Hawai'i Island-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting vulnerable and at-promise youth through trauma-informed, culturally-grounded programs that promote healing, connection, life skills, and emotional well-being. Through arts-based engagement, mentorship, therapeutic support, cultural activities, and community partnerships, Humanity Hale creates safe spaces where youth can strengthen identity, build resilience, and access meaningful support systems.

Across Hawaiʻi Island, countless youth are carrying unseen burdens — trauma from unstable homes, disrupted attachments, abuse, neglect, and the deep impact of generational hardship. Many experience constant movement through the foster care system. Many are returned to unsafe environments. Many age out with nowhere to go.

Humanity Hale was created to change that reality.

By offering free, accessible, life-enhancing programs across the Big Island, we create pathways toward safety, stability, cultural identity, and bright futures. Through Hawaiian arts, ʻāina-based learning, trauma support, mentorship, and community connection, we empower youth to heal, grow, and lead.

We're excited to be taking the next step in supporting Hawai'i youth — transforming our vision of a 10-acre transitional housing community into a living reality: a place where young people can heal, learn life skills, continue their education, reconnect with ʻāina, and discover their purpose.
