About the Museum of Indian Culture
The Museum of Indian Culture is more than a museum—it’s a place where history is experienced, stories are shared, and cultures are honored.
Founded in 1980, this member-supported, all-volunteer nonprofit has spent over 40 years connecting people of all ages to the rich and diverse cultures of Indigenous peoples across the Americas, with deep roots in the Lenape heritage of our region.
From interactive exhibits and educational programs to vibrant community festivals, the Museum creates opportunities for visitors to learn, ask questions, and engage with history in a meaningful way. Whether it’s a child’s first discovery or a lifelong learner’s deeper exploration, every visit is designed to inspire understanding and respect.
