WikiRendum is a democratic deliberation forum, allowing citizens to express and share their ideas on society’s problems, with the aim to increase the impact of public opinion on policy decision-making.
WikiRendum offers a unique constructive deliberation process based on problem definition, collaboratively defined solutions, factual argumentation and votes. Web2.0 features will allow users to connect to citizens or politicians with similar opinions, promote local participatory events and benefit from expert knowledge.
We believe that the free expression and exchange of ideas as well as the active participation of citizens in the decisions that concern them brings in perspectives that governing politicians may not have access to and thus will lead to more differentiated, legitimate and longer lasting policy outcomes, balance social forces and build the basis of a long-term sustainable society.
