Too often the minority community has been left out of the studies, the outreach, and the fundraising efforts to help end the devastating affects of Multiple Sclerosis. To this end, The Martin M.S. Alliance Foundation strives to (1) provide educational outreach aimed at communities of color (2) financial resources for individuals living with M.S. (3) support efforts to improve the accuracy of statistics reflecting the number of minorities affected by M.S. and (4) Explore and expand the need and definition of comprehensive Health Care. Disease and disability tend to go unchecked and underserved in communities of color for many reasons. However, education and early detection can drastically improve the quality of life of those living with disabilities.
