In search of authentic connections? The Public Market will be a gathering place that promotes healthy lifestyle choices…with a local twist. Here you’ll get to meet the people who grow and prepare your food.In addition to becoming a destination to reconnect with friends and neighbours, the Public Market will set the stage for rich conversations and learning about healthy nutrition and food sources–including the exploration of Howe Sound through the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre.Six-days a week, the Public Market will be home to farmers, fishermen, and food producers from our community. Visitors will have access to year-round source of fresh, local food and an opportunity to taste and learn about what our region offers directly from the producers who live in our community.The Public Market is a partnership between the Community Futures Development Corporation, Town of Gibsons, Sunshine Coast Community Foundation and the Gibsons Community Building Society. The GCBS is the operator of the Gibsons Public Market and is a not-for-profit organization that is governed by a Board of Directors and a Board of Governors.
