    HOPE is a community based organization devloping community based strategies to effect the improvement of the quality of life in the Hyde Park neighborhood, as well as other under-served communties in Los Angeles. HOPE's approach is to engage residents and increas their capacity to play more of an active part in the process. In a sese, HOPE employs a down-up approach to community development.
