The Marshall Teacher Residency is a one-year teacher preparation program that trains powerful teachers to lead classrooms that are student-centered, anti-racist and personalized to what every student needs to thrive. Our Residents spend a full year apprenticing in 6th - 12th grade classrooms within our network of schools across California while also completing the credentialing coursework leading to a California Single Subject Preliminary Teaching Credential.
During our program, Residents:
Hands-on practice and mentorship are at the heart of the Resident experience. Residents receive consistent support from a team of professional educators, working to meet the individual needs of each Resident while building coherence between the coursework and the school site experience.
