  • Sobre Nós

MISSION: Our Mission is reboot and empower the community's understanding of each other, Land property ownership, sustainability/acquisition, and their Civic responsibility to themselves and each other.   Our non-profit organization was formed in 2015 by people who wanted a change in the North Philadelphia community. It was decided that they will not be moved and joined together to stop gentrification and regrow the black community support systems.

Several of the ways we will seek to secure and regrow our communities are: Seek our 501c status, create our resident-driven neighborhood plan and take advantage of the many government, state and city tax credits and seek opportunities to acquire vacant properties and lots to renovate and build affordable and market rate housing to secure the African American North Philadelphia presence.

Our core focus groups are listed below

    Economic Development

    Housing & Homelessness

    Consumer Protection

    Children & Youth

Our projects that need volunteers are:

PHILADELPHIA FOOD HAVEN: In light of the COVID changes to our food chain we are encouraging our community members to provide healthy food for their neighborhoods; thus reducing potential crime. We need to "Fast Track" the process of erecting these sustainable food sources since we are currently in the final growing season for 2020. By taking these measures now, we can utilize these pilot programs as a springboard for additional gardens throughout Philadelphia; thereby, ensuring, that we provide each community a local healthy food haven.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION: We distribute over 1,100 boxes of food to the community per week. Schedule till end of Aug is Mon, Wed, and Thursday. Fall schedule pending.
