To make Australian’s more aware of their earliest known national maritime history; To highlight, explore and explain the earliest recorded European discovery by the Duyfken of the Australian Continent; and To encourage a greater understanding by Australian’s of the contribution and involvement by the Dutch to Australian and South East Asian culture and Australian history.

Duyfken is open as a museum and exhibits at towns around Australia and the world. Duyfkens current location and home port is Cairns.
