Camphill Communities in Pennsylvania

The mission of Camphill Soltane is to provide continuing education and personal pathways of discovery for young adults with developmental disabilities in a community setting. Camphill Soltane provides an environment dedicated to personal and social renewal, healing, and caring for the land. Camphill Soltane is guided by the social, cultural and economic principles of the international Camphill movement, founded by Dr. Karl Koenig (1902-1966). The movement's guiding principals are based in Anthroposophy, a world-view which embraces a spiritual understanding of the human being and the universe, inspired by Rudolf Steiner, Ph.D (1861-1925).

Camphill Soltane is seeking both year-long volunteers (Interns) and individuals and families wishing to embrace an alternative lifestyle that is based in service to others and the creative sharing of common resources.
