Sobre Nós

College of the Rockies is leading the MAISHA (Maternal Access and Infant Survival for Health Advancement) project, in partnership with Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT). This project is focused on improving Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services in rural communities in Nyeri and Migori counties, by strengthening government health facilities and community health systems. COTR and DeKUT are working closely with the government in both regions, through both national and county-level officials. MAISHA is also closely aligned with Canadian government priorities to support global MNCH efforts. As both academic institutions have considerable strengths in training and education, the project is largely focused on health education efforts, both at health facilities and in the communities of focus.
