The Afro-European Medical and Research Network with United Nations Special ECOSOC Consultative Status and Non-Governmental and not for profit Organisation was founded in 2006 with a strong vision of helping to improve the quality of life for people from and living in resource limited settings: - www.aemrnetwork.ch

AEMRN has expanded on the concept of mobile clinics in line with the UN SDG of Universal Health Coverage-We Leave no one Behind.

 The Diaspora Medical Mission with Mobile Clinics involves the multidisciplinary team of AEMRN members physically going down to communities in low-income countries, living with them, sharing and exchanging health promotion information on diverse topics to complement the efforts of the country Ministry of Health and Allied Institutions

 We also at the same time deliver surgical, clinical and laboratory diagnosis services for various ailments and the clinics also serve as an excellent entry point in assessing needs of and gaps in the communities for project specific interventions.

It is a good meeting point for the mobilisation of the efforts of the Diaspora colleagues from different parts of the world converging in these low-income countries especially in Africa to exchange and share their various skills and resources and undertake various research project in public health and others.
