About the Latin American Cancer Research Coalition (LACRC)
The LACRC is a National Cancer Institute-funded community network program. The LACRC has created a clinical and professional network that works strategically by including community-based groups, programs, organizations, clinics, academic institutions and agencies. The goal of the program is to conduct community participatory research, education and training to reduce cancer disparities in the DC area Latino community. The LACRC believes that social marketing programs have the potential to reduce disparities in access to high quality cancer education and services.
