A 501c3 founded in 2002, Unified Theater’s mission is to foster meaningful inclusion and develop student leaders through the arts. Our vision is a world in which inclusion is real, creativity is celebrated, youth are empowered, and differences no longer define us. At Unified Theater, young people with and without disabilities, of all backgrounds, come together as equals to put on a production entirely organized, written, and directed by the students themselves. Typical barriers between youth dissolve, communities are transformed, and classroom learning is enhanced including developing key 21st century learning skills in all students. To date we've served 6,000 students and 10,000 audience members, in 60 schools across the country.
