Nonprofit Leadership Development Institute of United Way of New York City

United Way of New York City's (UWNYC) mission is to create and support strategic initiatives that address the root causes of critical human care problems in order to achieve measurable improvement in the lives of the city's most vulnerable residents and communities.

The goal of the Nonprofit Leadership Development Institute of UWNYC is to create a diverse group of professional and volunteer nonprofit leaders who, with the appropriate training and education, will be prepared to assume executive-level leadership responsibilities in health and human service nonprofit organizations.

Our Linkages Board Training and Placement Program, a component of the Nonprofit Leadership Development Institute, is designed to strengthen and diversify nonprofit organizations by recruiting, training and referring professionals as prospective board members to local nonprofits.
