Lions Camp Horizon

Lions Camp Horizon is a summer camp for teens and adults with disabilities located in Birch Bay-Blaine, WA! We strive to provide recreational activities that encourage independence, build new skills, develop lifelong friendships, and create lasting memories of camp.

Our summer camp includes individuals with disabilities ages 15 and up. We have no age cap! We have two different camps: Adventure Camp and Base Camp. Our Adventure Camps are for people with disabilities who have a high level of independence and are interested in participating in more physically active activities. During Adventure Camps, we take our campers on two off-campus field trips and have more high-intensity activities planned for our on-campus schedule. Our Base Camps are for people with disabilities who have higher needs or those who are not interested in the more active activities. During Base Camp, we do not go off-campus, but we still have many fun-filled activities on-campus!

We rely on paid seasonal staff and volunteers to keep this camp running! Paid staff positions include camp counselors, specialized counselors, nurses, med techs, kitchen assistants, cooks, an activities coordinator, and activity assistants. Volunteers can hold any of these positions, as well as kitchen serving positions, activity leading positions, and other short-term positions. Even if you aren't sure what you want to do, we are flexible and welcome anyone who wants to be involved!
