Sobre Nós

Ubuntu Pan-Africanism and Welfare for Africans (UPAWA) is a non-profit organization that seeks to create a society which enjoys equal opportunities regardless. The term Ubuntu has its roots in African socialism which implies I am Because We Are, or in a very broader sense it means a person is a person through others. We are committed to realize economic potentials and manipulating them into wealth through joint efforts.

The charity fights to make sure there is inter-dependence in addressing community challenges and make life enjoyable to everyone. We work with youth and children, the community to create sustainability in environment, and poverty is the enemy of the mass who we are fighting with through both hands.

We are so open to national and international stakeholders whether government agencies or nongovernmental agencies to address issues we are addressing. INGOs whose policies allow to work in Africa or Tanzania in particularly are encouraged to come and share with us what we are doing.

UPAWA believes in togetherness, solidarity and unity for everything that we do. We will work with any community from any part of the world if it addresses what we are addressing. Rural areas where school children face a number of challenges, farmers experiences a number of challenges without knowing what to do then we are their voice to speak to different stakeholders and share what we can help them graduate from the chains of poverty.

Recently UPAWA partnered with Sports Works International a US based charity to start renovation of girls washroom in Mlilayoyo primary school. We are still fighting to reach the goal as the fact that at the moment it is only out walls of the toilets have been plastered. There is a need of more joint efforts to work with the remaining steps.
