Position Title: General Volunteer: Program Asst. - Greensboro
General Description: This position supports the Reading Connection's Literacy Program Team. Responsibilities include: Assisting Reading Connections Program Coordinators and general office staff with program services, student recruitment, assessments, administrative activities, program projects, collecting data, maintaining resource room materials, filing, mailings, shredding, copying, assist with community outreach events and more. You will get non-profit office experience!
Responsibilities may also include:
- Assists with community out reach events
- Assists with book drives and fundraising events
- Updating databases, labeling and sorting
- Assists students with completing paperwork
- Scheduling appointments and student follow-up
- Upkeep of Free Little Libraries
Time Commitment: 6 or more months, Flexible Day & Evening hours, Day & Weekend hours available for Community Outreach Events
Qualifications:
- Patient with learners of the English language
- Experience with Google Docs & Google Sheets and/or MS Word & Excel
