Old Colony Y Mentoring matches adult volunteers, ages 21+, with young people ages 9-17 for one year in our 1:1 mentoring program or for 4 months in our Group Mentoring program. Through our mentoring programs, mentoring relationships are established to help youth develop tools to cope with issues such as low self-esteem, family and peer conflicts, problems at school, and to improve their decision-making skills these skills can be worked on through conversation and dialogue with their mentor while participating in numerous activities.
