The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is seeking volunteers to support us the day-of and make this event shine! Opportunities range from set up to clean up and everything in between!

Please utilize the Target Parking garage; our event will start and end in front of the Target in the Strawberry Field area.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our 20th Fairfax Out of the Darkness Community Walk. Your support will help make our event truly shine and we're grateful for your interest!
Before signing up to volunteer, please read the following:
- Sign up for only one role/shift per time period Please make sure the shifts for which you sign up do not overlap and conflict with one another. We need to make sure that we have enough volunteers for all areas needed.
- Volunteers Under the Age of 18 Please download, print, and have your legal guardian sign the "Under 18 Waiver & Release." Bring the completed waiver with you to the Walk and provide it at Volunteer Check-in.
- Individuals Please select from the options below. You will receive an email confirmation from SignUpGenius immediately after registering to volunteer. As we get closer to the walk, you will also receive another email with more details about your volunteer role(s).
- Large Groups Please refrain from making selections at this time and instead please reach out to NationalCapitalDC@afsp.org and provide the following information:
- How many volunteers are in your group
- If you have any special requests for group volunteer participation
- If you anticipate having minors (under age 18) as part of your group.
