Providence ElderPlace-PACE(Prgram for All Inclusive care for the Elderly) is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.
In Home Friendly Visitors: ElderPlace In Home Friendly Visitors provide one-on-one support to our participants within their living environment outside of the ElderPlace facilities. ElderPlace participants live throughout King County. Many of our participants are isolated and benefit greatly from one-on-one interactions.
Visits can include walks, shopping, sharing interests: painting, games, radio, electronics, fishing, drawing, the outdoors,music, reading, sci-fi.
We currently have many participants living in King County who would love to have visitors 2-4 times per month:
Qualifications
- Ability to engage with many types of people
- Good listening skills
- Dependable
- 18 + years of age
A general new volunteer orientation of two hours is required. An in home volunteer orientation for this opportunity is provided.
