Role Snapshot

Lead the creative charge for how young people and partners experience YourPassion1st in Chicago.

As Innovation & Engagement Co‑Chair, you will design and test new ways to engage youth, schools, community partners, and volunteers through events, workshops, and campaigns aligned with our Ambassador Program and festivals.

What You’ll Do

• Co‑lead a small Innovation & Engagement team focused on Chicago programming and outreach.
• Design and pilot engagement ideas (events, pop‑ups, challenges, classroom visits, collaborations with school clubs, etc.).
• Partner with school staff, counselors, and youth‑serving orgs to bring YourPassion1st into existing programs and spaces.
• Work with Marketing and Opportunity Connector teams to promote events and opportunities that help youth “find, define, and follow their passion.”
• Use youth feedback and simple data (attendance, sign‑ups, surveys) to refine what’s working and sunset what isn’t.
• Help facilitate energizing, youth‑centered experiences during festivals, workshops, and Ambassador activities.
• Collaborate with the Youth Advisory Board to elevate youth voice in all engagement decisions.

You’re a Good Fit If You

• Love experimenting with new ideas and improving them based on real‑world feedback.
• Have experience (or interest) in youth development, events, human‑centered design, or community organizing.
• Are comfortable reaching out to schools, community orgs, and local leaders to build relationships.
• Enjoy collaborating across teams (Marketing, Mentoring, Onboarding, etc.) to move a shared vision forward.
• Are organized, follow through on commitments, and can work well in a co‑lead (co‑chair) structure.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 5–8 hours per week
• Mix of recurring meetings (virtual), planning time, and occasional in‑person events
• At least 6 months initial commitment
