About Yappy Pack
For more than 20 years, Yappy Pack has been one of Omaha's most beloved dog communities — a place where dogs run, play, and thrive, and where their people build genuine friendships. Now operating under Pup Plaza, a Nebraska 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we're growing our team of dedicated volunteer Playgroup Supervisors to keep this cherished tradition going strong for the next 20 years and beyond.
The Role
As a Playgroup Supervisor, you'll be the heartbeat of Saturday morning at Bone Jour — our two-acre off-leash field at the Nebraska Humane Society. You'll arrive at 9:15 AM to help set up, facilitate safe and joyful play from 9:30–11:30 AM, and wrap up by 11:45 AM. This is a weekly commitment, and the community you'll build with fellow volunteers and regulars makes it one you'll actually look forward to.
You don't need to be a dog trainer to apply — we provide training in dog body language, group dynamics, and de-escalation so you feel confident and prepared from day one.
What You'll Do
Monitor dog interactions and group dynamics to ensure safe, positive play for all participants, recognize and respond to canine body language, welcome new dogs and owners to the pack, and help maintain a warm, inclusive environment where every breed belongs.
You're a Great Fit If You...
Love dogs (obviously 🐾), enjoy being outdoors and active on Saturday mornings, are calm and observant in a busy environment, and want to be part of something that genuinely matters to the Omaha community.
Time Commitment
