KAREN FC Girls’ Football Kit Drive Coordinator

About the Role:

At KAREN FC, we believe in the transformative power of sports, particularly in empowering girls and challenging gender inequality. On December 17th, 2022, we proudly launched Karen FC, the first female football club in our community, made possible with the generous support of In Support of Children USA and the family of the late Dr. Karen Polonko, in whose honor the club is named. May she rest in peace.

However, many of our players are still lacking the basic football kits needed to thrive on the field. As our Football Kit Drive Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of making sure these young athletes have the equipment they need to succeed. You’ll organize donations of jerseys, boots, and other essential football gear to empower our girls to reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do:

As the Football Kit Drive Coordinator, you’ll lead efforts to secure the necessary equipment for our players. Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with football clubs, brands, and sports stores to arrange donations of kits and equipment.
• Organizing collection drives within the community and at sports events to gather football kits and gear.
• Raising funds to cover transportation and logistics for delivering the donated equipment to our players.
• Promoting girls’ participation in sports through advocacy, spreading awareness of the benefits of sports for girls’ empowerment and leadership.

Skills & Qualities You’ll Need:

• Strong communication skills—ability to engage with football clubs, businesses, and the community
• Organizational skills to coordinate donation drives and fundraising efforts
• Passion for girls’ empowerment and promoting sports for young women
• Experience in fundraising, event organization, or community outreach (ideal but not necessary)
• Creative and driven to raise awareness and support for the cause
• A team-player attitude and enthusiasm for promoting girls’ sports
