Volunteer Legal Advisor (Unpaid)

Description:

We are seeking a Volunteer Legal Advisor (Unpaid) to provide formal legal counsel and support to our organization. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney committed to contributing their expertise to help guide our operations, ensure compliance, and mitigate legal risks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide formal legal advice on organizational matters, including governance, contracts, compliance, and risk management.
• Review, draft, and approve policies, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assist with regulatory filings and interpretation of applicable laws and regulations.
• Participate in organizational meetings where legal guidance is required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and act in the best interest of the organization at all times.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of non-profit law and general corporate compliance.
• Proven experience in providing legal counsel, reviewing contracts, and advising organizations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Discretion, integrity, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
