Meals on Wheels- Assistant Coordinator at the Beaches

Helping to maintain people's independence is the cornerstone philosophy of Meals on Wheels. Since 1974, we have been providing hot, nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and disabled persons in Duval County. Meals on Wheels volunteers pick up meals from one of 11 designated drop sites in Duval County and deliver them on the same route at least once a month (ideally, once a week). A volunteer route typically covers less than 10 miles and can be completed within 60 minutes. Volunteers must have a driver's license, provide their own transportation, and pass a Level 1 Background Check. The major function of this volunteer role is to deliver meals in a safe and timely manner with exceptional care, while providing the highest level of customer service.

We are looking for an Assistant Coordinator to work with the Lead Drop Site Coordinator at the Beaches (in zip code 32224), filling in when the Lead Drop Site Coordinator is unavailable. This person would need to have availability on weekdays starting in the end of July between the hours of 8:30 am- 10 am. This would be a great position for someone 55+ who lives at Atlantic, Neptune, or Jax Beach.
