Hospice volunteers offer something truly powerful: presence.
Whether it’s listening to a story, holding a hand, reading aloud, or simply sitting quietly, your time helps patients and families feel supported and less alone.
By sharing your time and compassion, you can bring comfort, companionship, and support to individuals and families during a meaningful stage of life.
There are many ways you can serve as a hospice volunteer, including:
- Visiting with patients and providing companionship
- Offering emotional support to patients and their loved ones
- Sharing music, reading, crafts, or conversation
- Using your unique talents to brighten someone’s day
You will be trained to feel more comfortable and no experience is necessary. Only compassion, kindness and willing spirit.
