Together we have reached out to almost a thousand NGOs in the Global South about our suite of pro bono consulting services and the possibility of hosting a SEVA Traveler. Thanks to this exciting partnership, S.E.V.A. SEVA Travelers offers host organizations across Nepal, spanning Kathmandu, Pokhara, Parbat, Lalitpur, and Bagmati. These placements give volunteers the chance to support powerful community-led initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, education, child welfare, and sustainable livelihoods. Volunteers will work alongside local nonprofits that are strengthening their fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and storytelling to build long-term impact — all while experiencing Nepal’s stunning mountain landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage.

Prisoners Assistance Nepal (PA Nepal) – Kathmandu, Nepal
PA Nepal supports prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families — especially children — through education, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs. Volunteers will help design impactful fundraising campaigns (child sponsorships, education funds, rehabilitation programs), develop crowdfunding and monthly giving initiatives, and support corporate partnerships with ethical travel companies. There’s also opportunity to assist in digital fundraising training, online visibility improvement, and international donor engagement through storytelling and media.
Subi Foundation Nepal – Kathmandu, Nepal
A community-based organization with deep local roots, Subi Foundation works to strengthen education and empowerment at the grassroots level. Volunteers will help the organization expand its reach beyond Nepal by developing global networking and communication strategies, building partnerships with like-minded international organizations, and improving digital storytelling to attract wider support.
Bahini Educare Foundation – Pokhara, Nepal
Bahini Educare Foundation empowers single mothers and marginalized children through its Educare Family Program. Volunteers will help train staff in donor engagement, fundraising best practices, and digital campaign management. There’s also opportunity to enhance the organization’s website, social media, and global outreach to attract sustainable funding and expand their support for vulnerable families.
United Foundation Nepal – Kathmandu, Nepal
United Foundation Nepal focuses on poverty alleviation and food security, providing food distribution, livestock programs, and small business support for unemployed families. Volunteers will help refine fundraising strategies, create proposal templates, and design donor outreach campaigns that highlight the foundation’s community impact.
PHASE Nepal – Bagmati, Nepal
PHASE Nepal delivers integrated health, education, and livelihood programs to improve rural living conditions. Volunteers will support capacity-building by providing training in proposal writing, establishing connections with international donors and foundations, and assisting in social media outreach to amplify PHASE Nepal’s visibility and mission.
SAATH – Lalitpur, Nepal
SAATH promotes socio-economic development and livelihood opportunities for marginalized women and adolescent girls. Volunteers will assist with global grant identification, proposal writing, and partnership development with institutions that support women’s empowerment. They’ll also help strengthen SAATH’s communications, branding, and outreach strategy to enhance funding opportunities.
The Small World – Kathmandu, Nepal
The Small World is dedicated to improving access to education for girls in Nepal’s remote mountain regions. Volunteers will help the organization strengthen its storytelling, develop fundraising campaigns centered on girls’ education, and create outreach materials for donor engagement and global awareness campaigns.
Bahini Education Project – Parbat, Nepal
A growing grassroots organization focused on expanding educational access and empowerment opportunities for girls and women. Volunteers will provide hands-on training in grant writing, donor proposal development, and strategic fundraising to support the organization’s long-term sustainability and growth.
