Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing quality affordable housing and support services to families and individuals. We operate free summer and after school programs at 12 Learning Centers all over Austin, including our Laurel Creek Learning Center (78753) on N Lamar Blvd in North Austin.

We are seeking volunteers to support our classrooms and help students Kindergarten-5th with reading, enrichment activities, STEM, fitness, and social emotional skills!

Summer programming runs 10:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. After-school programs run Monday through Friday between 3:30pm and 6:00pm, with volunteer shifts available during that time. We can offer flexibility for arrival and departure within these times. To start, volunteers commit to at least one regular shift per week for the term.

Volunteers must complete an online application, pass a background check (no cost to the volunteer), and complete an orientation course. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
