Role Overview
We are seeking a Volunteer HR Data & Analytics Specialist to strengthen MAP’s human resources systems through data collection, tracking, and reporting. This role will focus on monitoring volunteer hours, engagement levels, retention rates, and HR performance trends. The specialist will help MAP’s leadership use data-driven insights to improve recruitment, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and maintain HR-related data, including volunteer hours, retention rates, and staffing metrics
 - Develop dashboards and reports that track key HR performance indicators (KPIs)
 - Analyze engagement and performance trends to support HR decision-making
 - Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure accurate volunteer and staff records
 - Provide data insights to improve recruitment, onboarding, and engagement strategies
 - Support compliance and reporting requirements with accurate data management
 - Recommend improvements to HR systems and data collection processes
 
Requirements
- Experience in data analysis, HR analytics, or nonprofit operations (volunteer or professional)
 - Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
 - Familiarity with HR metrics such as volunteer retention, engagement, and performance tracking
 - Ability to analyze and communicate data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
 - High attention to detail and organizational skills
 - Commitment to MAP’s mission and values
 
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, or similar)
 - Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or CRM platforms
 - Knowledge of nonprofit HR or volunteer management systems
 - Background in statistics, business analytics, or human resources
