At Project EATS we are determined to increase the well-being of individuals and to improve the social, economic, and cultural viability of their communities. During our farm season we are able to provide fresh and local produce to the Brownsville community. Thanks to United Way and the Foodbank of NYC, we are able to supply shelf-stable food items, protein options, and produce (year-round) through our monthly Food Pantry Program.
Volunteers support pantry events by helping with set-up, greeting and guiding participants, distributing food, restocking supplies, and assisting with clean-up. This role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Volunteers are expected to treat all participants with dignity and respect while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and organized distribution.
