Become Voices of Variety's eyes and ears where you live.

What You'll Do

• Identify neighborhoods, schools and families where additional resources are needed

• Flag parks, abandoned properties and public spaces that need attention

• Identify community organizations and businesses that could become partners

• Send us specific opportunities where VOV could build, protect or transform

Who This Is For

Residents of any city or town in the United States. Parents, students, retirees, block club members, faith leaders, social workers and anyone who knows their area well.

Time Commitment

Ongoing but entirely self-paced. Report as often or as rarely as you like.

Why It Matters

VOV's national vision depends on local knowledge. A map made in an office is always wrong.

Voices of Variety (VOV) is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 by Jasen Brown. Our work is prevention. We create positive outlets — sports, music, the skilled trades, entrepreneurship, mentorship, adventure and community service — so that violence and crime never get their opening.
