Make a difference in the life of a child

LifePath Hospice is looking for dedicated volunteers of all skill levels to work with pediatric patients and children living with a loved one under Hospice Care. The siblings or children/grandchildren of hospice patients can often get lost in the shuffle as their parents are learning to care for their loved one. Volunteers do not provide any medical or personal hands-on care for patients or family members. They merely provide companionship and the invaluable gift of time. There are many opportunities to share your unique talents with these children including:

• Companionship - read them stories, polish their nails, play games, engage in craft projects, listen to music or whatever activity the child is interested in.
• Tutoring - assist pediatric patients, siblings and other child family members who may be falling behind in schoolwork due to medical appointments or the emotional impact of having a loved one on hospice care.
• Legacy and Memory - Making Program - Create lasting memories for children and adults through art and creative projects
• Running errands - help with grocery shopping, walking the dog, or other small errands that can help a family who may not have time to leave the house.
