Power of Flight — Volunteer & Mentor Information
About the Challenge
Power of Flight is a hands-on innovation challenge where middle and high school students design an edible drone concept—a flight-enabled solution capable of delivering nutrition to disaster zones and communities in need.
This experience blends engineering, food systems, humanitarian design, and leadership, helping students understand how creative problem-solving can meet real-world needs.
Power of Flight is led by Girls Save The World, a leadership and innovation program of Independence Gardens.
Independence Gardens’ mission: to equip and empower the next generation to grow leaders and solutions that strengthen communities through hands-on learning and real-world impact.
