About the Opportunity

VitalCaring Hospice is seeking compassionate Hospice Volunteers in the Tulsa and surrounding areas to bring comfort, companionship, and practical support to patients and families facing life-limiting illness. This is a meaningful opportunity for people who want to serve their community, offer a caring presence, and help patients feel seen, heard, and supported.

What You’ll Do

• Visit with patients for companionship, conversation, reading, music, games, or quiet presence.
• Listen to life stories and provide encouragement to patients and family members.
• Make friendly phone calls, write cards or letters, or help with simple comfort-focused activities.
• Assist with office or administrative projects that support the hospice care team.
• Share special skills or interests, such as music, art, spiritual support, or veteran-to-veteran connection, when appropriate.

Who We’re Looking For

• Compassionate, dependable people who are comfortable offering a calm and caring presence.
• Good listeners who respect patient dignity, privacy, and individual preferences.
• Volunteers who can follow training, communicate well with staff, and honor hospice boundaries.
• No medical background is required; training and ongoing guidance are provided.

Time Commitment

Flexible scheduling is available. Volunteers may serve during the week, evenings, or weekends depending on patient needs and volunteer availability. Ongoing volunteers are especially helpful, but we will work with you to find a role and schedule that fits.

Location

Tulsa, Oklahoma, and surrounding communities. Volunteer placements may vary based on patient location, care setting, and current needs.
