Volunteer – Conquer Cancer Walk/Run & Health Fair

Join Enlightened Florida as a volunteer for our Conquer Cancer Walk/Run & Community Health Fair on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at Rowlett Park in Tampa, Florida!

The Conquer Cancer Walk/Run brings our community together to honor those impacted by all cancer types, celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, encourage healthy living, and support a future filled with hope. The event will include walk/run activities followed by a free Health Fair featuring health and wellness resources, screenings, community organizations, activities, and more.

Volunteers are an important part of making this day welcoming, organized, safe, and memorable for everyone who attends. Whether you enjoy working directly with participants, cheering people on, helping behind the scenes, or assisting wherever you're needed most, there is a place for you on our team.

Event Time: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Volunteer Times: Vary by assignment starting at 7a-1p

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer assignments include:

• Event Set-Up Team – Help prepare event areas, tables, signage, supplies, and other materials before participants arrive.
• Registration & Check-In Team – Welcome participants and assist with event check-in and registration.
• Walk/Run Course Team – Help guide participants along the designated course and provide direction and encouragement.
• Water Station Team – Distribute water and help keep hydration stations organized and stocked.
• Cheer Zone Team – Bring the energy! Cheer, encourage, and celebrate participants along the course.
• Finish Line & Medal Team – Welcome participants across the finish line and assist with medals and finish-line activities.
• Photographer Assistant / Social Media Team – Help capture event moments and support social media coverage throughout the day.
• Floater / Event Support Team – Assist wherever additional help is needed throughout the event.
• Clean-Up Team – Help break down event areas, organize supplies, and leave the park clean following the event.

Individuals and volunteer groups are welcome!

Two-Step Volunteer Registration

Completing the Idealist application is the first step and allows us to collect your general volunteer and contact information. You will then register through RunSignUp to select your primary event-day volunteer role and shift. Please use RunSignUp to select the main area where you would like to assist.

Interested in helping in more than one area?

You are absolutely welcome to do so! RunSignUp only allows you to register for one volunteer task at a time. Rather than completing the registration process again, simply email us with any additional areas you would be interested in assisting with, and we will manually add those preferences to your volunteer assignment. Final assignments may be adjusted based on event needs, volunteer availability, and scheduling.
