Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture (also known as ArtsArlington) is an umbrella organization within the Town of Arlington, MA that promotes and develops arts and culture programs, events, and resources to create a sustainable and vibrant arts scene that engages and attracts artists, residents, businesses and visitors.
The Commission is currently seeking new members willing to volunteer their skills in the areas of fundraising and development.
Responsibilities
Key activities in this role will include participation in applying for grants, organizing fundraising campaigns, and otherwise helping to support the cultural programs and community work of the Commission.
You should expect to spend 3-4 hours a month attending meetings, including the monthly Committee meeting and periodic subgroup meetings, as well as 3-4 hours a month in activities specific to fundraising and development, and occasional participation at an event such as Town Day, a Live Arts event, or other ArtsArlington program.
