Volunteers Needed!

Be a part of the mission of the Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Service League, and help contribute to an exceptional patient and family experience at Park Nicollet Health Services and Methodist Hospital. As a Gift Shoppe Volunteer, you will help greet and welcome customers to the Methodist Hospital Gift Shoppe, deliver flowers and gifts to patient rooms, price new merchandise, assist with gift shop displays and ring up merchandise purchases. Located in the lobby of Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital, the Gift Shoppe profits support projects in Methodist Hospital and across Park Nicollet Health Services that improve and support patient care. The Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Service League is made up of passionate community volunteers who work to make a difference and impact for others. We have been told it is one of the best service groups in the metro area! Volunteers also receive 10% off most gift shoppe items.

All proceeds from the Gift Shoppe support programs benefitting hospital patients, and also support a student volunteer college scholarship program. Annually, the Service League distributes more than $130,000 in grants and college scholarship awards to eligible Park Nicollet Health Services youth volunteers. The Service League provides assistance to Park Nicollet Health Services in promoting health, wellness and education to patients and staff. The Service League contributes to hospital construction and expansion projects like the Frauenshuh Cancer Center and the Women’s Center, as well as hospital programs including:

• free daily newspapers for patients
• purchase of clinical models and mannequins for nursing skill checks
• balloons for pediatric patients in the Surgery Center and Emergency Department
• transportation to home and prescriptions needed at discharge from the hospital
