IT Specialist - Professional Volunteer

Job Overview:

The SpreadYourHeart Organization (SYH) is looking for a detail-oriented IT Specialist to fortify our digital ecosystem. As we expand our multi-pillar network, your role is to ensure our data remains secure, our platforms remain integrated, and our team remains connected. You will be the architect of our digital safety and the first line of defense against cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance & Security: Perform regular audits of the website and Drive environment to enhance data security and implement anti-malware/cyberattack protocols.
• User Lifecycle Management: Manage user onboarding/off-boarding across multiple platforms, ensuring appropriate access levels and revoking permissions for inactive members.
• Technology Implementation: Research and deploy new software programs or technological systems to improve organizational efficiency.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for team members facing technological conflicts or device-related IT issues.
• Monitoring & Ethics: Oversee user performance and access logs to detect and prevent technological misuse or unauthorized data sharing.
• Infrastructure Optimization: Ensure all SYH digital assets are organized, searchable, and backed up according to our administrative standards.

Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Workspace Administration, Website Maintenance (CMS), and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to troubleshoot software conflicts and hardware-software communication issues remotely.
• Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive organizational data with absolute confidentiality and ethical rigor.
• Communication: Capable of explaining technical solutions to non-technical team members in a clear, supportive manner.
