We Rock Cancer (WRC) is a nonprofit, based in McLean VA, that brings free skin cancer screenings to concerts and community events. We're looking for Event Sponsorship & Fundraising Committee Volunteers to help power our biggest event of the year. Learn more about us at werockcancer.org.

About the Opportunity

We Rock Cancer is cranking up the volume for 2026, and we're building out our first Event Committee to help drive sponsorships, in-kind donations, and auction items ahead of We Rock 26, our annual fundraising concert at Capital One Hall in Tysons Corner, VA on November 7. With the event fast approaching, we're looking to fill several committee seats as soon as possible. Whether you bring years of sponsorship experience or you're ready to learn as you go, there's a place for you.

We'd also love to have you join us as an event volunteer on November 7 itself, but it's not required.

Responsibilities

• Help identify and reach out to potential sponsors and in-kind donors
• Support outreach for gala auction items
• Attend periodic committee meetings (virtual)
• Bring ideas, energy, and connections to help grow our program

Requirements

• Comfortable making introductions and having conversations with businesses or community contacts
• Reliable communication and follow-through
• No fundraising experience required, just a willingness to learn and get involved

Location

Remote committee work with an optional in-person day on November 7 at Capital One Hall.

Time Commitment

Flexible, we're happy to take as much time as you're able to give.
