CSU Spur Greeter

Description: We are looking for friendly and welcoming personalities to greet site visitors and provide visitors with an orientation to the CSU Spur facility, information regarding programming, and help answer questions. Individuals in this role will distribute informational materials including maps and guides and may also support evaluation through the distribution of forms or flyers. These individuals are often the first interaction visitors have on site, and we hope to ensure all visitors to the campus have a positive and engaging experience.

• Time commitment: 6 hours a month (2 3-hour shifts a month)
• Typical Schedule:
  • 9:00am-12:00pm
  • 12:00-3:00pm
• Training requirements:
  • General volunteer orientation
  • Exhibit and site orientation
  • Shadowing Required
  • Review of background resources
• Skills Required:
  • Ability to be welcoming and friendly to all visitors.
  • Willingness to answer questions and provide information.
  • Ability to use a communication device (radio or phone) to reach CSU Spur staff for support or in case of an emergency
