Join our team. We have openings on our Board of Trustees, and welcome new people.

Our Board of Trustees has 9 seats, with rotating terms to encourage inclusion of new people to “reinvigorate” the organization. We welcome people with perspectives from different cultures and experiences. Terms of service can be 1, 2, or 3 years, depending on your choice and the openings available. An election is held at our Annual Meeting each October.

The time commitment depends on the volunteer's interests but generally include a monthly business meeting via Zoom. We discuss our projects, learn about emerging options for after-death care, plan outreach events, etc. Our mission is to protect consumers' rights for meaningful, dignified and affordable final arrangements.

To qualify for election to the Board, you should be a member, or agree to become a member, of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Western Massachusetts. We ask for a one-time donation of $30 (or lesser amount if low-income). No annual dues. Your membership is ongoing (lifelong).
