Volunteer Remote Social Media Manager

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Remote Social Media Manager to join our team at Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue.

Our mission is to provide abandoned animals with medical care, emotional support, and a path toward finding loving, permanent homes. How You Will Contribute:

Purpose:

Responsible for creating and publishing social media content to increase visibility for animals currently in the care of Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue, as well as helping shape a consistent and organized social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.

Responsibilities:

• Create and publish posts for animals currently in our care on Facebook and Instagram
• Use photos and videos provided by the rescue to create engaging posts
• Repost and refresh posts for animals who are still in need of foster, rescue transfer, or adoption
• Create occasional posts promoting rescue updates, adoption events, and fundraising initiatives
• Collaborate with different departments within the rescue to share updates, events, and announcements on social media, such as adoption events, fundraisers, and rescue updates
• Help establish a consistent and organized posting presence across Facebook and Instagram

Immediate Ownership:

This role owns the social media posting process for animals currently in the care of Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience managing or posting social media content for a nonprofit, rescue organization, or business is required
• Strong written communication skills and ability to create clear, engaging social media posts
• Ability to work independently and manage social media posting with minimal direction
• Familiarity and comfort with the Meta Business Suite App, or willingness to learn, is a plus
• Must have a working phone or computer with reliable internet access
• Must reside in the United States; availability during Pacific Standard Time hours preferred

Commitment Details:

• Approximately 2–4 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Work is completed remotely
