Grant Writer — Mutual Credit Pilot
Detalhes
Descrição
Remote · Flexible hours · Project Hub #9 · Focus: cooperative economics, solidarity economy
Switzerland's WIR network showed that interest-free, member-issued credit expands exactly when conventional money gets scarce. NTARI has already built that mechanism into its software's economy layer — credit issued at the moment of spending, zero-sum by construction, no interest in either direction — and this pilot is its first live trial: one community of 25–75 trading members, a year of data, and an outside academic evaluation (the University of Colorado's Media Economies Design Lab is the proposed partner). The budget is $120,000, and it deliberately funds a written Kentucky legal opinion as a hard gate: no counsel opinion, no launch.
You'll write cooperative-development and solidarity-economy proposals: the Cooperative Development Foundation's concept note (due mid-January), New Economy Coalition channels, relationship pieces toward the Surdna Foundation, and eventually an NSF Economics route led by the university partner.
Strong fit for a writer drawn to economic democracy who can explain a credit system in plain English. Remote via NTARI's Slack grant desk, with peer review before submission.
