The Feline Care Specialists plays a key role in maintaining the health and well-being of the cats at our sanctuary. Responsibilities include feeding, habitat cleaning, behavior monitoring, administering enrichment activities, and providing gentle socialization. Volunteers in this role support our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) mission by ensuring each cat—feral, semi-feral, or adoptable—has a safe and supportive environment
Purpose of the Role
Feline Care Specialists provide essential daily support that keeps our cats healthy, comfortable, and emotionally thriving. This role directly impacts each cat’s quality of life while they wait for their forever home.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Clean cat rooms, litter boxes, and habitat areas
✔ Prepare and serve meals and fresh water
✔ Wash and refresh bedding, toys, bowls, and enclosures
✔ Provide positive enrichment: playtime, gentle petting, grooming support
✔ Observe and report changes in health or behavior
✔ Maintain a calm and safe environment for both cats and people
