Looking for Crafting Volunteers to Knit/Crochet/Sew for Our Hospice Patients

Heartland/Gentiva Hospice is looking for craft volunteers who are interested in making either lap or twin-size blankets, Fidget mats/blankets, hats, sleeves, memory pillows, stuffed animals for our hospice patients. Hospice patients are on their end-of-life journey and often are living in color-less nursing home rooms, or a hospital bed in a strange room of their home. Adding something beautiful to their lives during this time is an amazing way we can bring beauty and kindness from the community.

Heartland/Gentiva has a strong relationship with our Veteran community and would particularly love blankets or quilts with a Veteran theme - either in patriotic colors & patterns, or with motifs from specific military branches. However, we would love and cherish ANY blankets we receive from volunteers, as all our patients deserve something cozy!

Items need to be machine washable and come from smoke free environments and free of any pet fur.
