Graphic Designer - Online Volunteer Opportunity at RFC

We are a youth led organization that aims to address environmental issues; We aim to get individuals involved in activities to help combat climate change, and inform the general public about the health of their environment.

Graphic Designer

Hour requirement: 3-4 hours every 2 week

Description:

1. You are required to create 1 design every 2 weeks
   1. You will have full creative freedom( though there are some regulations that you must follow). For example, we have different colors assigned each month hence you will need to follow them. This' based on the idea that our mission revolves around the environment and we want to include the colors that reflect the different seasons. You also have the ability to pitch your own ideas for the content!
2. We allow you to use Canvas templates with the conditions that you must alter it in some ways to make it unique to you.
3. Create 1 design every 2 weeks
4. You will be able to reach out to your design director if you need a break. They will also send you reminders but you should remember that you must submit 1 design every 2 weeks.

Requirements for designs:

1. We commonly use Aniyah, Arcade Gamer, and New Times Roman
2. Use a similar palette for all images or simply edit the image in “adjust”.
3. Use Canva
4. Ratio MUST be 1080px by 1350px
5. Must include “Root For Change” or “RFC” on the first slide
6. 4-5 slides minimum
7. Must follow the theme(disregard this when you submit your design for the application process).

We will tag(if you are comfortable with that - please let us know in your application) you in the designs you create! We are firm believers that proper credit should be given where it is due!

Also you do not need to write a paragraph or anything likewise; we only expect you to write 1-2 sentences per question. Make sure you read carefully and all the best!

Additionally, we will be using slack as our main source of communication hence if you are unable to use this app, please do not apply for this position.
