The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Cedar Rapids is a non-profit charitable organization providing assistance with food, clothing, rent, utilities, and other services to people facing economic, emotional or spiritual crises .​As a private, non-profit charity, the Society relies almost exclusively on private individuals, businesses and organizations locally for support. Everything St. Vincent de Paul does is motivated by a sense of compassion for those struggling with poverty, loneliness, illness, family problems and many other difficulties. As an Administrative Volunteer, you will process applications for clothing, food and housewares, answer phones, checkout customers. Training with the director is provided with the goal to work independently.

This is an in-person role, averaging 20 hours per week. Availability: Tuesday - Friday 9 am - 2 pm. Requested length of service: 90 days. There is a bus stop close by.

In this role you will be interacting with the public daily either in person or by phone. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. With the ability to multi-task.
