Anime Cultural Festival in Torrance

Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, from setup to teardown, while immersing yourself in the fun world of cosplay, performances, and pop-culture. This is a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, gain event management experience, and support a nonprofit cause—all while enjoying free access to the festival!

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and teardown, including arranging booths, stages, and signage.
• Help manage crowd flow, check-in attendees, and provide directions or information to guests.
• Support vendors, artists, and performers by helping with logistics, such as restocking supplies or monitoring areas.
• Participate in on-site activities like cosplay contests, photo ops, or interactive booths.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment by following health/safety protocols and assisting with any minor issues.
• Optional lead roles: Coordinate specific areas (e.g., volunteer check-in, stage management) if you have prior experience.

Qualifications

• Passion for anime, Japanese culture, or pop-culture events.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift light objects (up to 20 lbs).
• Minimum age: 18+
• Prior volunteer or event experience is a plus but not required. Training is provided.
• Background check may be required for roles involving minors or finances.
